EV's PROVIDING EMERGENCY POWER
We don't live in Victoria folks and sometimes things like the Dec 20th, 2018 Winter Storm can raise havoc with our lives. Have an EV nearby and an adequately sized inverter can allow you to operate several devices in your home while you are awaiting Hydro to get everything all back in order. Freezers, fridges and some strategic lighting come to mind.
I have only done this with a Nissan Leaf and it worked well. Manufacturers are not likely to support this and Tesla voids your warrantee, so only consider this option if you take appropriate care.
And if you can get to one of our free island chargers where the power is on, you can replenish your car battery.

Of course, you could drive to the middle of nowhere and make star wars waffles with your electric appliance as well. What else could you do ?
