  • TESLA Updates (June, 2023)
                                                            TESLA Updates (June, 2023)

Tesla is now affordable: https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1139393_tesla-model-y-cost-now-dips-below-average-new-vehicle-ev-or-not?fbclid=IwAR2aHBvheVW9Tt50HaE_0FCyfvHOLCKZQg-yzzpg6__fGYQZUnV9WOwsiPg.  And you are tired of dealers telling you stories of long delivery times ?   Delivery for Tesla is in a couple of weeks.  And there is no dealer hassles regarding what you pay and final adjustments.  What you sign up for on the Web - that is it.

Ford is putting in a Tesla charging port.  https://insideevs.com/news/669212/ford-switch-tesla-ncas-chargign-connector/?fbclid=IwAR3cEIRU4_duwoU-EyBcnEwvD5l9JO-sH2aLrCBdWhQzDRs-udCM8ykoB6w/.

Why are the Tesla Superchargers so desirable to FORD ?:

    1) Tesla has only one port for Level 1,2 and DCFC.  The charging is software engaged so no chance of arcing pins.

    2) The Tesla will prepare the battery for high speed charging as the car approaches the station.  This pampered care for the battery may account for minimal degradation of the traction batteries (12% in 200,000 miles).

        https://electrek.co/2023/04/25/tesla-update-battery-degradation/?fbclid=IwAR3rJq2Ov9mB9aOdARL845W06SPOhCcMrnBd9V_0wd2naN0kF9n88NMGN8w

    3) Free wi-fi at Tesla charging stations (installation in progress)

    4) The stations are all networked.
  • on your display, you know how many stalls are available stalls as you approach the station
  • there are no changing fobs or cards.  Your Tesla account is charged.  Just plug-in and grab a washroom break and then maybe play a game or watch Netflicks on your console
  • your Tesla app notify’s you when your charging is almost full.
  • the stations know you are approaching and can incentivize others to move on
  • the station knows ahead of time your state of charge, therefore your charging needs
  • once you are fully charged, you will pay 3 times the rate to park without charging.  So no hogging of resources with cars not charging
  • if the station is in high demand as you approach, you could be asked if you want to be directed to another nearby Tesla supercharging station

5). And Tesla constant innovation including Over the Air (OTA) updates which means your charging experience will only get even better over time.

                             STATISTICS
  • over 45,000 GLOBAL charging stations
  • over 99% up time - best reliability in the industry
  • new chargers are constantly being deployed globally

                            USER ENGAGEMENT
        - Where are new superchargers installed ?  It is partially determined by on-line voting by Tesla Owners.  Cool eh !

Bottom line.  Small wonder why the Tesla Model Y is the best selling car (NOTE: not EV, CAR) IN THE WORLD.  https://driveteslacanada.ca/news/tesla-model-y-was-the-best-selling-vehicle-in-the-world-in-q1-2023/?fbclid=IwAR1G2hI9eAte_YHsoUFErQyMgeTPmdaoNSJcYiVg6XtXGHqTHztYbOIl4ZQ
